Treasure Hunting

If you know me well, you will know that I love History.  To be more specific, I love history's mysteries.

Can you imagine if all those historical treasures are waiting to be found, if bigfoot was right behind that tree, or if ancient people really knew what they were depicting in the petroglyphs? The Lagina Brothers have been searching Oak Island many years now and they believe digging one more foot or searching one more shaft might reveal the literal Holy Grail of all treasure. However, at the end of every episode, the treasure never seems to hold up to the expectation.
People like me have followed that mystery for nearly 20 years only to be disappointed every week. The brothers, along with all of America, dig and dig but never hit paydirt.

In the Bible, the book of Titus similarly depicts possible treasure to be found. Truthfully all of scripture contains treasure that with a little digging can easily be found. Titus though is full of treasure for the local church, the family, and our interaction with the world. What if our churches and homes where so different from what we see in the world that people hunted for the treasures they provide in their own lives. Gold is in every way a precious treasure and you can find gold on every page of God's word. Dig into the word and join us on Sunday for the greatest treasure hunt ever.

SPOILER ALERT -- we've been finding treasure!
